Free diversity support for Scottish businesses.

Training and development to achieve a diverse workforce and a supportive working environment.

Our work with employers.

The Scottish Union of Supported Employment provides free training and awareness-raising sessions for businesses.
We partner with businesses - large and small - to:
  • Put businesses in touch with sources of specialist disability support and financial help for making reasonable adjustments.
  • Support businesses with the development of diversity strategies and policies.
  • Train staff on the Equality Act 2010.
  • Provide bespoke disability training and awareness-raising for all levels of your organisation.
  • Run 'myth-busting' workshops to increase organisationsl knowledge and confidence when employing disabled people.
  • Provide free publications and tool-kits, giving you practical advice on managing disability in your organisation.

Businesses regularly identify a need for greater awareness of disability in their organisations; at staff, line manager and corporate level. Being disability aware and confident to deal with disability in the workplace has great advantages, and minimises the possibility of legal challenge to your organisation.
