Our Vision

Supported Employment promotes the rights of all individuals to achieve their full potential through a model of flexible support that enables people to overcome barriers to their employability and access real jobs for real pay.

SUSE Achievements

SUSE is committed to promoting the voice of supported employment. Our achievements include:

  • The creation of a national network.
  • The creation of regional networks of Supported Employment Providers.
  • Successful Annual Conferences where local networks met and share experiences.
  • Engagement with European Union of Supported Employment Conference was held in Edinburgh.
  • Preparation of the 'Blueprint for Supported Employment in Scotland' commissioned by the then Scottish Executive and based on wide consultation.
  • Significant input on the content and quality control of the Supported Employment Framework for Scotland (published 2010 by the Scottish Government and COSLA) and the subsequent SQA Personal Development Award in Supported Employment Practice.
