EU workplace mental health promotion campaign22/07/2010
Mental health and well-being is important for business and is essential to the success of your organisation, particularly in today’s economic climate. While mental health and well-being is undoubtedly moving up the agenda for employers, more remains to be done. A Europe-wide workplace mental health promotion campaign: Work. In Tune with Life has been developed to support employers to create mentally healthy workplaces. This innovative campaign is led by the NHS [Scottish Centre for Healthy Working Lives] and The Mental Health Foundation. We recognise the many demands placed upon organisations and therefore participating in this campaign needs only involve completing a short 15 minute online mental health check for your organisation. This will:
- Analyse your responses and provide you with automatic feedback by email with tips on what you can do to improve things in your workplace
- Guide you to a range of useful online and print resources
- Provide an opportunity to complete an application to be an exemplar in promoting mental health recognised at a European level
- Provide a certificate in promoting workplace mental health and enable you to be part of a Europe-wide employer scheme on best practice and network with like minded forward thinking organisations
- Provide evidence to contribute towards gaining Healthy Working Lives Awards.
So please do take the time to compete the questionnaire. It will take 15 minutes of your time to assess the quality of the mental health promotion measures in your company or your organisation. Each question requires a YES or NO answer. Just go to the website: www.workintunewithlife.eu/Default.aspx
