Glasgow Business Diversity Awards

GGNSE hosted the the second Glasgow Business Diversity Awards on 3rd October 2008 at the Hilton Hotel.  Sponsored by Scottish Union of Supported Employment, Glasgow Employer Coalition, Glasgow City Council and Glasgow Works the awards recognise employers who have demonstrated good practice in recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce.  The event brought together over 100 employers and service providers to celebrate the great partnership working that is going on in the city in mainstreaming equality and diversity in the workplace.

The awards were introduced by Councillor Irfan Rabbani who highlighted Glasgow City Councils commitment to working with various partners  across the city to ensure those citizens who seek and are able to work get the opportunity to do so. He went on to commend all those employers who had been nominated for an award and felt they all desreved the accolade of Diversity Champions
