New Welfare to Work initiatives
02/07/2009
DWP is developing two new Welfare to Work initiatives and would like to offer interested parties the chance to attend a series of one day events during July. The events offer an opportunity to learn more about the emerging design of the new programmes and the procurement process.
Towards the end of last year, the White Paper ‘Raising expectations and increasing support: reforming welfare for the future’ announced the Governments intention to launch Invest to Save Pathfinders for long term Incapacity Benefit/ESA customers and the Personalised Employment Programme for customers in receipt of JSA, ESA and parents in pilot areas.
The forthcoming events will provide you with the opportunity to find out more about these initiatives before the procurement exercise commences. Information will be presented on:
• The emerging shape of the new programmes
• Procurement approach to commissioning provision
• Localisation agenda
This full day event will provide opportunity to raise questions, put forward views and instigate debate through table discussions.
These events are aimed at organisations that may be interested in bidding during the forthcoming procurement exercises. To express an interest in attending, please complete the attached pro-forma and email to the address on the form by 10 July 2009. As we anticipate significant interest in the events, attendance will be restricted to one event per person and no more than two delegates per organisation.
Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Interested delegates are asked to complete the relevant paperwork and joining instructions .
