Employability events at The Gathering 18-19 Feb 2010 Edinburgh

A range of employability events at The Gathering are scheduled to take place on the 18 - 19 February 2010 in the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) in Edinburgh.
The events are aimed at organisations with an interest in the employability agenda. All the events are free but registration must be done in advance.
Launch of Third Sector Employability Forum

SCVO and the Scottish Government are pleased to invite you to attend the launch of the Third Sector Employability Forum. The Forum will provide an opportunity for the Third Sector to influence the employability policy and practice agenda at a Scottish, UK and local level.
After the formal launch there will be a Forum meeting to which all third sector organisations with an involvement or interest are invited. This discussion event will look at the four top priorities so far identified by the Forum. These are:

- resourcing the employability pipeline for those furthest from the labour market
- third sector involvement in local employability partnerships
- opening up local procurement and
- short term nature of funding.

The Third Sector Consortium has been delivering the Future Jobs Fund across Scotland since October 2009. The Future Jobs Forum provides a unique opportunity to bring together practitioners and members of the public, to showcase this exciting initiative, and demonstrate the benefit it brings to individuals, Third Sector organisations, and local communities across Scotland.
