Nomination Guidelines
There is a set application process to nominate your choosen employer for each of the categories - nomination forms will be attached shortly.
The awards recognise businesses that demonstrate best practice in the recruitment and retention of people from diverse backgrounds and abilities. There is also a category for Social Enterprise/Social Firms.
Whatever the size of business, whether you are an employer, a member of staff, a customer or an employee within the business - if you feel that the business is a potential Award Winner, send in a nomination. You can nominate any business whose core activity is not Supported Employment.
Award categories are: -
- Recruitment - businesses who make sure their recruitment practices are open to all, from advertising to the indiction programme
- Retention - business who show they look to retain staff affected by disability or ill health.
- Social Enterprise/Social Firms - this award category recognises good practice and innovation in creating employment opportunities for severely disadvantaged people within this sector.
- Overall Winner - an overall winner is chosen from the nominated businesses.
