Scottish Business Diversity Awards 2009
The Scottish Business Diversity Awards 2009, took place on Thursday 26 November in the Glasgow Science Centre. The evening commenced with a formal drinks reception followed by a delicious three course meal.
The event was sponsored by JHPemployability, The Wise Group, Glasgow Works, Shaw Trust and SAMH.
Master of Ceramonies for the event was Andy Cameron, who entertained and directed proceedings for the evening.

Alastair MacDonald, Customer Service Director, Jobcentre Plus was the opening guest speaker and presenter of the Recruitment Award.
"It is great to have here so many representitives of Scottish business and to see the valuable contribution they are making through embracing diversity in the workplace".

He was followed by David Coyne Executive Director of Glasgow Works for the Retention category and Laurie Russell Chief Executive of The Wise Group for the category of Social Enterprise.
Jim Murphy MP, Secretary of State for Scotland, who attended following voting in Westminster addressed guests prior to presenting the Overall Scottish Business Diversity Award 2009.
"This has been a fantasic evening of celebration and well done to all the nominated companies and winners".

Callum MacGregor Chairperson of SUSE and Head of Employment at Capability Scotland concluded the evening with the vote of thanks.
"On behalf of SUSE, I thank all the nominated companies for their support for employees from diverse backgrounds and abilities and supporting inclusion for all within business and the community".
